Cinque Ports Rugby Receive RFU President's XV Award for Fundraising

Dany Roelands as Cinque Ports Rugby President accepted the RFU's President's XV runners up award, and cheque, for the fundraising category presented by Bob Rogers, a past President of both RFU and Sussex  RFU, at special CPR awards evening held at The Bear, Burwash. Cinque Ports Rugby are not only one of the smallest and newest clubs (just three years old) but also the first Sussex club to be recognised in these prestigious  awards. Bob Rogers also presented Danny Brock and Mark Allan with a Cinque Ports RFC Hall of Fame plaque awarded for their personal and their company's, Business Continuity of Northampton, continued support, encouragement and sponsorship.

As the President who initiated the RFU President's XV Awards Bob Roger's said "it is an absolute delight to present the first Sussex club to be recognised in this competition with this award, it shows you what can be done no matter what size your club might be, well done to everyone involved in the day". Paul Smart, Club Captain closed off proceedings by thanking Bob Rogers.

Bob Rogers also presented special "RFU Valued Volunteer" certificates to the following club members, Marcus and Sonja Davies, Kevin and Sarah Jane Parker, Chrissy Thomas, Tim Gough and Kristy Wright, all of whom have given up a considerable amount of time and commitment to make Cinque Ports RFC into the successful club it has become.
