Cinque Ports entered the Hellingly Touch tournament for a second successive year, entering two teams- The Bulldogs captained by Paul Smart and the Snakes captained by Gavin Thomas.

Smart's team was certainly the strongest containing South African duo Christiaan Brandt and Gavin Samms, Czech flyer Rob Fink and the pirouetting skills of Colin Whyte. The strength of the team showed as they won all four group games. All teams contained junior players and female players, and the day was certainly positive in allowing a number of under 16's in making their first appearances for Cinque Ports.

In the other group, the Snakes found things harder losing three and drawing one. Thomas' team were the self styled "Old Boys" with a few notable exceptions (Luke's Price and Barningham, Sonja and Dominic of course!). The Bulldogs eventually lost in the final to the reigning Hellingly Champs, but it was a positive day that demonstrated the massive improvements CPR have made!
