Dr Roger Edmondson appointed Ken Nichols from Hastings to manager the Sussex President's XV this season. The final game was played on Sunday at Crawley to celebrate St Francis RFC 50th Season. Cinque Ports Rugby Captain Paul Smart was called up into the squad along side Greg Stokes. Dale Whittington was also invited to play but unfortunately had picked up an injury in last weeks victory, however this meant that his brother Murray Whittington who plays for H&B was offered the opportunity to join the former St Francis RFC prop Andy Williams in the match. It was great to have four players from Hastings playing. Greg Stokes on the wing and Murray Whittington in the centre had excellent games and were involved in several moves that led to the Presidents XV running out winners 50-0. Paul Smart came on as a replacement early in the second half taking over the fly half position from Mark Lewis. Mark plays for Brighton, he is currently Captain of the England Deaf Rugby team and a former junior All Black. Paul had a very good session organising the three quarters in several hard attacking moves. Williams played for the whole of the first half against his old club.
