London Bloomsbury Hotel RFU Disciplinary Hearing Decisions
Monday October 24, 2011
Issued by Steve Williams
The rulings by tonight's (Oct. 24th) Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Hearing Panel of chairman Jeremy Summers, Julian Morris and Peter Budge meeting at the London Bloomsbury Holiday Inn were as follows:-
It was deemed that the sending off was sufficient punishment for Barking hooker Francis Ambrose, dismissed in the recent away league match against Fylde for a supposed dangerous tackle.
His brother and Barking prop Edward Ambrose was found guilty of striking an opponent after being sent off in the 80th minute of his teams 33-29 league win at home to Birmingham & Solihull and was banned for a week which he has already served.
Crowborough RFC No.8 Thomas Carruthers, cited by Ashford RFC for striking an opponent during their recent league match, was found guilty and banned from playing for three weeks with immediate effect. He will be free to play again as from Nov. 15th.
The case against Shelford RFC's Aki Lea, sent off in a National League Two South match last April, was adjourned until a later date.
